Mr. Subhash Agarwal has impressive career accomplishments in the business world are numerous, and he continues to work cheerfully in this capacity for the social services. He is an exceptional businessman who thinks that if polio is eradicated, life will be better for everyone. Thus, he volunteered his time and effort to Rotary volunteer programmes in support of National Immunisation Day (NIID). Rotary International helped governmental agencies and committed over $200 million to Endeavors Pulse Polio programme, which was held up in the city. In Bangalore, the center has been conducting vaccination drives at 20 locations with the assistance of the Corporation Referral Hospital. Through the efforts of Rotary Worldwide, the Western Hemisphere was polio-free by 1988. Rotary has joined the World Health Organization in its fight against the disease.

Starting on February 1, 2002, Mr. Agarwal opened a Government elementary school for children living in slums, offering them basic education and midday food. After that, he learned of the government school with two teachers and all the necessary equipment, but with no students enrolled. Mr. Agarwal observes that at first, because the school is roughly two kilometres away, the parents were hesitant to take their kids there. The elders needed to be inspired, and roughly 25 children were enrolled in the school after extensive counseling. Since midday meals, clothes and books were guaranteed to be free of charge, in addition to safe transportation (first a van, then an ayah to take pupils to and from the school), more kids have enrolled. The class size has now been raised to fifty pupils. The school was finally adopted by the forum in November. After that, Mr. Agarwal was also given the Governors Award for Social Service.
